Building an Ultra Lite Dinghy

Tuition: $75. per 'team' (2 persons)

Sundays 1-4pm (Starts March 18, 2012)

In this course we will build an 8ft Westport Dinghy of “Geodesic Airolite” design. This construction technique utilizes Kevlar web-bing and heat-shrink Dacron fabric over ash frames and spruce stringers to produce a boat weighing only 33 pounds! The dinghy will be raffled off as part of the Maritime Center’s 2012 fund raising efforts.
